Even Crazier Than Cooper

File under: Satscams

A former member of the Austin, TX deeksha scene describes exactly what "really" happens at Kalki Bhagavan's 21-day instant "enlightenment" seminars:
Dear Deeksha Receivers,

With this notice we are withdrawing from the deeksha community. For the sake of our spiritual integrity, we must go on record and declare ourselves to be completely disassociated from Bagahvan and all his activities. We have asked Sri Rani to take us off the deeksha givers list.

We now believe that Bagahvan's mission is to prevent man's ascension, not to facilitate it. While I was there for the 21 day retreat, one of the dasas told a story to the men's group about another dasa. He said that Bagahvan put a cap on his growth in consciousness because the dasa would be of more use to Bagahvan at that level. I heard this as a huge red flag at the time. This was one of the reasons that we always said a lot of other prayers before invoking deeksha. We wanted to do everything we could to see to it that we did no harm.

Later we learned that there was a shadow energy attached to the deeksha energy that did not belong. This was confirmed by a healer we respect and trust. Together we removed the shadow energy and for awhile believed that we were able to give deeksha without the shadow. That was the only way we could have continued to be involved at all. We asked to be connected to the highest God Source of the deeksha energy and that the truth of the deeksha energy be shown in its' original vibration. We thought we were as clean and safe as possible. Then problems began to develop. Working through spirit guides we learned that Bagahvan, despite what he says in public, really does want to be worshipped as God on earth. We were told that if you go through the 21 day program and do not accept Bagahvan as God on earth, you may start to have problems. Those individuals entering the 21 day program already at a very high level are at the greatest risk of interference.

For several years I have had my level of consciousness calibrated on the Dr. David Hawkins M.D. map of consciousness. Before going to India I decided to be calibrated so I would have a before and after calibration. I wanted to see what the effect of the 21 day retreat might be. I fully expected significant improvement. I was shocked to find that the calibration actually went down 10 points. When the healer was removing the shadow energy he found eight entities placed strategically for the purpose of limiting my consciousness. After the removal of the eight entities (all from India) my calibration returned to the higher level. Then I remembered the story about the dasa and realized that it was happening to some other participants as well. No one who's true mission it is to elevate the consciousness of mankind could ever limit the consciousness of a single human being. It is an abomination and the idea simply would never occur to him. There is no rationale or excuse that can explain it except that he is not what he says he is and is not really doing what he says he is doing.

We will continue to offer the Energy Transfer programs two nights a week and the Divine Spark Meditation on Sundays. We will continue to invoke the presence of God using the prayers we have used for several years now. We just won't be invoking deeksha anymore.
Meaning they'll just do some other made-up nonsense that looks just like deeksha, but with plenty of tinfoil hats around for protection against the Kracki's astral hit-squads.

ROTFL. isn't it a self contradicting statement?

we won't tax you, we'll just take $ from you;).

i assume that's what u get when u're consciousness level is 'elevated' to a very 'high level'. u manufacture ur own common sense.

If this is an example of the kind of people who get into dicksha, it's no wonder these folks are taking over the world. Please don't tell me they're from Texas, too. This could be the final blow to our state image!

Geez!
It's like some plague of spiritual grasshoppers.. each "healer" affirming the delusions of the others. Where can I get my crown chakra calibrated? It gives new meaning to the phrase, "what's your 'sleep nunmber'?" (like how dense is your delusion?). In the 60s, we used to buy coffee cans and line them with felt and tinfoil...stick our arms in and see what our "orgone levels" were! snort and laugh! SAMO SAMO...it never changes..just gets more convoluted. Well, I'm glad the "entities" were Indian...much simpler than if they had come from Outer Space!.

The most ridiculous "self-calibration" figures come from the chief kook himself, Kalki. Apparently his "enlightenment-O-meter" calibrates himself at some 1000 points, while Krishna was at the 900 level, and Ramana and the Buddha were a mere 700 or so, and Jesus was waaay below.

LMAO. How do people buy into this BS?

This may be kooky stuff, but at least it might have the effect of getting people away from this sleezy spiritual mobster.

Actually, I would rather have these folks leading the world than our current Texas white house resident. They don't say "Keep Austin weird" for nothing.

And who is this "Dr." Hawkins, calibrator of consciousness, anyway? He must be the same crackpot...I mean...respected researcher...to whom "Extreme Lightworker" Bryan James at CircleofLights.com often refers. Bryan sells, among other things, "Frequency Acceleration Packages" that help people raise their vibes, according to something called The Hawkins Scale. Supposedly Bryan's own kids, who are of course "indigo children," have achieved frequencies that are off the charts.

Bryan, by the way, is also involved in a project with Mary, Mother of God; they're rescuing lost souls from the Nether Worlds. Y'all can join the project too, if you want, and if you do, you get a free frequency acceleration.

I get emails from these folks just about every day. And when I come over here to Guruphiliac and find that the same stuff is going on in the self-realization community, I feel right at home. :-)

Sadhvi here got it right: "How dense is your delusion?" Whether they're East Indians or space aliens, they all come bearing the same load of b.s. And they all want your money.

There ain't a lot of difference between the fools who believe this kind of paranoid crap and the ones that believes Jesus is coming out of the clouds riding a white horse and maybe we can help him come quicker by blowing up the dome of the rock. Our current leader is a half inch away from this nonsense thinking. I've heard the Nazis were into similar kind of beliefs.

At least Bush is not a genuine Texan. He's a carpetbagger from yankee land!

PS Austin sold out a long time ago...

i heard Bhgavan is asking his deeksha givers to cut down and later revoke all deekshas.

wonder what business strategy he's getting into?

hmm....exciting.

he also somehow corners himself in the doomsday category. by the year 2012 thingy.
is this a gambit?
or an honest mistake?
how is he going to manouvre outta this?

hmm...

Connie said: And they all want your money.

Actually, these people do not want your money. They are some of the few who don't. I don't advocate this kind of calibration new age stuff, but at least they are not out there trying to convince people they are going to hell if they don;t get an energy transfer. Personally, i don't really give a shit what people believe as long as they treat others with kindness, respect and compassion.
And Chuck, Austin never sold out. It's one of the few places that are livable in texas.

Some questions:
how do you "revoke a deeksha?". Not to be dense, but is "deeksha" the same as the oh so familiar "diksha"..lol!If your "calibration level" is 1000 points and suddenly your "deeksha" is revoked, does the number change? Since I have not kept up on the latest New Age devices, are the "calibration devices" free? are the "frequency calibration packages" free? if not, it would seem that, in fact, these folks ARE interested in making money. Hopefully, it's not a choice between New Age greed and George Bush! god help us if it is! The kind of power issues that motivate people in most cases are pretty consistent and all it takes is a burgeoning fan base to see that process develop. Anyone who has followed the "guru scene" during the past 40 years has observed what happens when things get "too big", even when the originial intention was a positive one. What ever happened to the idea of spirituality NOT being about being "special"...indigo, highly calibrated, separate, different, unique and, most of all, "better than"? I think it's a very good idea to look at the history of American "enlightenment movements" and the "snake oil phenomena" as well..and not only during the 1960s but earlier, the movements that have rolled through this country and created the kind of religious hysteria that we are now in the middle of..and all of those very inventive "devices"..from aura calculators to mercury purgatives, sold as "blood purifiers". The quirky creativity that seems peculiarly "American" can create ALOT of different "stuff"...much of it to do with making money.
Frankly, I can't see how "demonizing" George Bush (as demonic as he may be...lol!) helps to clarify anything at all...I remember when I thought that it did...with Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, et al...I look at things now and wonder?....??????????. Maybe it requires something more...a deeper understanding??????? Chosing between two scams doesn't seem like much of a choice to me.

You're right, Durga. Most are dumb enough to be sincere about this steaming bowl of horse hockey. But they are pimping for the ones in India, giving them a small taste of crack so'll they go to India and pay the big bucks there.

As for Austin, I was just playing with you. But take a look at Smithville, Lukenbach, La Grange, or go East to Lufkin, Crocket, or Nacadoches. And don't forget Lovelady, Texas or Dime Box. Dime Box was a great little town last time I pased through and would make an ideal headquarters for the Kalki Avatard in America.

Blade said: You don't give a shit? That seems callous durga, and lacking in compassion, or at least short-sighted on your part. Because when your beliefs are crazy enough, treating others with your version of 'kindness, respect and compassion' can include destroying them."

Ok. What I mean is that people on this planet believe in all sorts of crazy, strange things. Therefore, rather than basing my judgement of people on belief, i try to base it on action. What do they actually do? In the case of these particular deeksha people. I hear they are ok folks, respectful of others.
When i say kindness, compassion and respect, I'm referring to the commonly accepted definitions of those qualities. I agree, though, that some people imagine themselves to be compassionate when they really are self inflated narcisssists. That does happen all the time. So, don't know what to say. You got me there. And pardon the expletives. This isn't a peer reviewed journal, you know. If it were, I might edit every litttle thing i say. But this is a blog, so please try to lighten up. These personally directed accusations are very disturbing to me. Be compassionate yourself.

the Blade said, "Because so much of the damage occurs while these people seem to be polite and compassionate and not to be hurting anyone else."

The possibility of you saving the world from immediate destruction by slapping Durga around for her not being upset enough by what other people choose to believe (breath) does not over-ride your own responsibility to be respectful of a nice gal like Durga, not that she needs me to defend her, Mr. Blade!

And I don't use gasloine. I use bio desil, as reccomended by Mr. Willie Nelson.

Blade said: The qualifier 'as long as they being polite and compassionate and aren't hurting anyone else' can be misleading." and "f I hear something that seems callous, why wouldn't I say it?"

I don't think I am being callous in respecting people's beliefs., I just used the "s" word which gave it a negative ring, I think. I agree that some beliefs are inherently destructive, but others are more benign or inconsequential. One has to be discerning in evaluating which ones have the potential of doing severe damage and which ones are just kind of fluffy , like a lot of the new age beliefs about spirits and angels.

By the way, Chuck, thanks for defending me. that was sweet of you.

I'm pretty sure I apologized before but if not, I do so here. I have had fun at your expense, which is Texan like, but not very nice.

But you may be thinking of Betty. I've had several Betty Bite me's. Painful!

Durga is obviously a lady and on the subtle level, I am trying to set her up with Jody. If you revoke my deeksha before I finish, Jody may be the looser.

PS

Your welcome, Durga. I may be East Texas, but I was taught manners.

Will someone please 'splain exactly what a deeksha is, and where can I buy one? Do they have it in a size 6? And Sadhvi, you need to start your own blog. You seem to have a pretty good handle on the New-Wage culture, and a good historical perspective on all of this stuff.

PS -- I agree with you about Austin, Durga. I love the place. So why am I living in Houston?

And can someone please explain to me this business of revoking deeksha? Abitamazed said that.

And Blade,if I have it right, Durga is a nicer version of Kali. jody could answer that one. I have done only the bare minimum reading about her.

connie, deeksha, as i understand it is:

to invoke the presence of God (whomever ur god maybe, however u're constantly reminded it's preferable to have Amma & Bhagavan as ur god) using the prayers.

the 'presence' of God is supposed to elevate your consciousness.
and after the deeksha session-u'd be asked what experience u've felt during deeksha. some people felt tingling and all kinda self-induced metaphysical nonsense.

u're constantly reminded that u can't do anything to elevate your consciousness. u have to surrender to Bhagavan to do the 'hard' work for u.

deeksha comes in watever size u can screw urself (and ur wallet) up with.

Um....Kali, in this particular case (Devi Mahatmya)manifests as the shakti of Durga (the shakti of all the combined male deities). Anybody who slaps Durga around is asking for trouble! lol!
good luck guys,

I think you and Connie should move to Austin. We could all go get deeksha together.

Oh my goodness, I didn't mean to come across as colonial. I know the term "East Indians" is passé, and I apologize if I offended anyone from India, or anyone else who is an easily-offended advocate of people from India.

However, I didn't know if simply saying "Indians" was correct, or if people might think I was referring to Native Americans. (Come to think of it, I believe "Native American" is no longer as correct as it once was. I think I read somewhere that it's okay to call at least some Native Americans "Indians" again.)

Perhaps in this case "South Asian" would have been the best term...but it still wouldn't have been specific enough. Although, come to think of it, it would have taken in Sri Lanka, and our pal Tilak.

Anyway, to the Anon who called me on my incorrectness, I second Chuck's opinion. :-)

Man, what's up with you, "the blade" and you, Cosmic Con-ny ...Use those two neurons you call a brain, da...Political correctness, or racism or anything like that is best defined by the person who the term applies to, not the person who uses the term. For example, let us suppose you are white, and I call you a redneck, and let us assume that you objected to the usage of the term, then it would be insensitive of me to say "Blade, chill, bro'...I don't mean anything by it..."
By the way, man..drop the name "blade" - it's painfully affected... better go anonymouse...

No, I get it, Blade. I do. But you, my friend, have to get beyond the second order.
Let me explain:

1st Order usage of the moniker "blade": Silly posturing
2nd order: I am being ironic
3rd order: Even though I think I am being ironic, I am actually just being all silly and affected.

And as for the 4th order and beyond, I don't think Jody will allow me more space here, so I will just try and get my own blog.
Cheers from an India (East)
